DUI: Penalties for Drivers Under 21 in San Diego
The San Diego Liquor Control Commission has established the following penalties for people under the age of 21 who drive vehicles under the influence of substances ( DUI ). The penalties depend on how many times the crime or offense has been committed.
¿ What are the penalties for DUI ?
First conviction
Loss of driving privileges for a minimum of 2 years. A possible prison term of one year. A fine of up to $ 2,500.
Second conviction
Revocation of driver’s license for a minimum of 5 years or until age 21. Possible imprisonment for one year. Mandatory 2 days in jail or 100 hours of community service if within a 5 year period. A fine of up to $ 2,500.
Third Class 2 felony
Conviction with loss of driving privileges for 10 years. A possible prison term of 3 to 7 years. If paroled, possibly 30 days of community service. A fine of up to $ 25,000.

The photos have a blue background and a dark blue box that says either A Driver’s Licenses or AID Card in white .
